Art Exhibition and Dandiya Night Celebration at TIHS

The Art Exhibition and Dandiya Night Celebration at The Indian Heights School held on October 20,2023 was a rich cultural confluence. The school ground pulsated with lively music and enthusiastic crowd celebrating the Navratri Utsav. Mr. Himanshu Gupta, IAS, Director of Education graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the day. The day also witnessed the vibrant presence of Sh. Madan Lal Meena, ACP, Dwarka as Guest of Honour. The celebration commenced with the customary Lighting of the Lamp performed by the Chief Guest alongwith with the school chairperson, Ms. Madhu Gupta, school Manager Mr. Puneet Gupta and school principal Ms. Archana Narain. This entailed the auspicious Ganesh Aarti and Durgaa Aarti to invoke the blessings to initiate the celebration on an auspicious note. The chief guest and the guests visited the art exhibition high on the interface between the cultural legacy and states of India. The brush strokes on the canvas reflected the versatility of the young artists. The exemplary work was commended and complimented by the everyone as the showcase of the children’s work in paintings and installations depicted their deep attention and creative reflection. The much awaited carnival buzzed with host of activities. Gaily decorated stalls in festive hues and colours welcomed the visitors. With exciting and innovative games stalls, the photo booth, handicrafts and rural art on display and finger luscious food stalls , Dandiya Night celebration was a roaring success spreading the message and spirit of fun,frolic and festivaleverywhere. The reverberating evening had something in store for everyone as there were prizes to be won for different categories. ‘Best Attire’, ‘Best Performer’, ‘Best Couple Kheliya’, ‘Best Senior Citizen Performer’ and many more ensured a whole hearted participation of the parents and the students with increased number of on the spot entries. The main highlight of the evening, the traditional garba and dance performance entertained and mesmerized with some electrifying musical numbers and songs. The stellar performances of the parents and students on stage further amplified the frenzied celebration. The grand festive evening was indeed a celebration for a cause. The amount collected from the event was donated to the local artisans who had come to display their exquisite crafts. The school management expressed their gratitude towards the parents fraternity as their presence not only added to the festive atmosphere but also contributed to the welfare of the local artisans.It was indeed an extravaganza of larger-than-life celebration of Dandiya and Garba dance where everyone had something to enjoy, remember and cherish forever.
