The Vegetable Marche Expedition

Experiential learning at TIHS is an approach followed to deepen understanding and foster practical skills. In a bid to enhance students\' real-world comprehension of economics, sustainability and community engagement, the tiny tots of Grade Little Steps to III recently implemented an experiential learning initiative at the vegetable market set up at school by real vendors. The students were split into groups and given tasks to purchase vegetables with fake money. These activities encouraged critical thinking, teamwork and communication skills, while also offering a tangible understanding of market dynamics and enhancing their financial literacy. The foray into the pseudo vegetable market exemplifies the power of experiential learning in nurturing well-rounded, socially conscious individuals. This initiative serves as a beacon for future endeavors, demonstrating the potential of hands-on experiences in education.
