Joy of Giving Week at TIHS
‘WHEN WE GIVE CHEARFULLY AND ACCEPT GRATEFULLY, EVEYONE IS BLESSED’
The Indian Heights School is socially committed to empower the student community by taking up many philanthropic ventures to inculcate in them values like empathy and respect for others. Towards this, the school has been initiating on regular basis a number of programs, and ‘Joy of Giving Week’ being one of them. October 1, to October 15, 2016 marked the celebration of ‘Joy of Giving Week’ in the school premises. A number of activities were conducted wherein students were encouraged to become socially responsible and work together for the less privileged members of the society. There has been a surge of response for this noble cause as the students wholeheartedly donated articles of clothing, stationery items, toys, story books, medicines and many useful things for distribution to the less fortunate members of the society. The overwhelming response further strengthened the global values of caring and sharing. The students will be visiting Orphanages, Blind Homes, Children’s Homes, Old Age Homes and NGOs to donate the collected items very soon.
