Gandhi Jayanti Celebration at TIHS

The students from The Indian Heights School paid tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi by celebrating his birth anniversary as Cleanliness Drive Awareness Campaign to spread the message of cleanliness and hygiene. The students indulged in a wide array of activities like making headgears and placards, forming Human Chain (by the students of classes VI and VII) and joined their hands to support the cause of keeping our surroundings clean. The students from classes VIII voiced their concern for cleanliness at personal, community and global level as they participated in Group Discussion and ‘Just-a- Minute’ speaking activities. Senior students delivered Speech on the Importance of Cleanliness and also cleaned up their classrooms and helped teachers to manage the cupboards.The students also participated in a Swachchta Marathon held at Apeejay School of Management. The school Principal Ms Archana Narain in her address encouraged the students to cherish and follow the noble ideals of Mahatma Gandhi and to keep our surroundings clean to stay healthy and generate feel good factor.

The school is observing October 1 to 7, 2016 as ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Week’.
