“Every day is Earth Day, and I vote we start investing in a secure climate future right now.” – Jackie Speier
The school is observing Earth Week from April 17 to April 22, 2017 to sensitize students towards the environment, conservation of planet Earth and raise their awareness of environmental issues. During the week plethora of activities were organised and Inter-House Extempore Contest (Hindi and English) was one among them which was conducted for the students of classes IX-X. The objective of the Extempore was to develop skills like spontaneity i.e. think on-the-spot and express, to strengthen speaking skills as well as oral interactive strategies. A team of four students from each House took part in the Extempore Contest. The students participated with great interest, enthusiasm and zeal and spoke on a wide variety of environmental issues, from recycling to pollution to energy conservation and showcased great oratory skills. The judgment was based on the criteria of spontaneity, presentation, content and fluency.
